A BELT and home fries? What’s not to love 😍 We love finding new breakfast substitutions, giving us tons of variety to play with when we want to stay home and make some delicious food on a Sunday morning (more-so afternoon, lets be real). If this looks like something you’d want to wake up with, keep reading down below for the recipe!


  • Extra-firm tofu
  • Dairy-free mozzarella slices (we use our favourite Emborg)
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Vegan mayo
  • Vegan bacon (we use Lightlife)
  • Everything bagels
  • Cashew milk
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder


  1. Press your tofu, then slice it into ½ inch thick slices
  2. Pour ½ cup of cashew milk into a mixing bowl. Add turmeric, black salt and garlic powder. Whisk together
  3. Butter a medium frying pan, keep on medium heat
  4. Dip your tofu into your liquid mixture
  5. Pan-fry tofu to desired texture
  6. In a separate pan, fry your vegan bacon
  7. Wash and cut up your lettuce and tomato
  8. Toast your bagel
  9. Spread mayo onto your bagel, and stack your tofu egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato and cheese! (Or anything else you desire, like avocado etc.) Enjoy!
