This was our first time trying vegan scallops and they were delicious! We made our own pasta sauce and added bacon to go along with it. Such a great combo! If you don’t have pre-bought scallops on hand or accessible to you there are recipes for mushroom scallops, or you could just have it with the bacon!


  • Vegan scallops (optional)
  • Vegan bacon
  • 1 pack of pasta of your choice
  • Vegan cheese shreds
  • 5-7 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 cups of unsweetened cashew milk (or other dairy-free milk)
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 ½ tbsp of flour (we used gluten free)
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red chilli flakes
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • Pinch of fresh basil
  • Green onions


  1. Prepare your pasta in a large pot
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat up a large frying pan, add a splash of oil. Begin to sautée your minced garlic
  3. Once garlic is sautéed and golden brown, pour your cashew milk into the pan. Also add your nutritional yeast, flour, salt, pepper and chilli flakes
  4. Simmer on medium heat for about 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently
  5. Next, stir in your lemon juice and fresh basil
  6. Make your vegan bacon either in a separate frying pan or in the oven **If adding vegan scallops, pan fry with vegan butter
  7. Strain your pasta and leave in large pot. Top with your garlic sauce and stir
  8. Plate your pasta and chop vegan bacon into small pieces to sprinkle over top, along with vegan shredded cheddar and green onions and enjoy!
