This fruit and nut parfait has a delicious secret ingredient – tofu dessert! We partnered up with Sunrise Soya and are so excited to showcase their tofu desserts. That’s right, tofu isn’t just for savoury dishes! The tofu dessert comes packaged similarly to regular tofu but they are flavoured and sweet. We had never tried tofu dessert before but after we made this parfait we realized how delicious and versatile it is. I’m always looking for more protein wherever I can get it, so it’s an added bonus that each tofu dessert portion comes with 5 grams of plant based protein! You can make parfaits, popsicles, smoothie bowls and so much more with these delicious desserts.

They come in five different flavours – plain, almond, coconut, mango and banana. The best part is how easy and simple working with it is. We made this parfait by blending almond flavoured tofu dessert with some yummy nut butter and other ingredients listed below. It turned out amazing. For us, we prefer our desserts not to be overly sweet. This parfait has the perfect amount of sweetness to us!   • 1 cup oats

  • 1/2 cup sliced raw almonds

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 2 bananas

  • 2 portions of sunrise soya almonds tofu dessert (2x150g)

  • 2 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter

  • fresh strawberries and chia seeds to top


  • To a blender, add your tofu dessert, bananas (save a small piece) and nut butter. Pulse until smooth and creamy.
  • Grab a mixing bowl and stir together your sliced almonds, oats and maple syrup. optional: if you want a bit more crunch you can toast your oat mixture in the oven at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes!
  • Layer your parfait. Alternate between layers of your oat crumble, fresh strawberries and your blended parfait mixture.
  • Finish off with a final layer of sliced strawberries, sliced bananas and a sprinkle of chia seeds for an added health kick!
